I missed the earlier part of the discussion, but this summer I'm hoping to start work on internationalization of the notebook user interface. I'm guessing that it might be convenient to start a separate mailing list for discussion of i18n issues. A sage-localization group might be useful for requesting new translations, discussions about fine points of grammar, and so on. (There was a discussion a while back about starting new mailing lists, and some people seemed to think that starting lots of topic-specific lists wasn't a great idea; however, I think internationalization and localization are probably distinct enough from support and development to warrant a new list.) However, I certainly don't mind the occasional thread on sage-devel about translations -- I'm very glad to see Sage documents get translated!
