Thanks Jason, That's what I thought re Python (also resetting the admin password wasn't the problem).
It all seems to be magically fixed now. I suspect the server guy (who's been great setting this all up) was ignoring my barrage of confused emails and just fixed it. I'm hoping that's what happened anyway and it won't be completely broken again tomorrow :) Thank you for taking the time to try and help :) Vince On 25 Sep 2013 00:29, "Jason Grout" <[email protected]> wrote: > On 9/24/13 5:48 PM, Vincent Knight wrote: > >> We have Python 2.4.3 running but I don't see why that would be the >> problem (I hope that that is the issue as it would be an easy fix). >> > > That shouldn't be an issue, since Sage includes its own version of Python. > > You can start the notebook with something like: notebook(reset=True) to > reset the admin password. > > Thanks, > > Jason > > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "sage-support" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to > sage-support+unsubscribe@**googlegroups.com<sage-support%[email protected]> > . > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > Visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/**group/sage-support<http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support> > . > For more options, visit > https://groups.google.com/**groups/opt_out<https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out> > . > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sage-support" group.
