I am also preparing a further patch which is not specifically relevant to
elliptic curves, since the pari interface still does some other wrong (and
also misleading) things owing to an earlier misunderstanding of the pari
precision parameter. That would have to go after all these, but is
separate. Your 6 functions for converting petween the three precision
measures will play an important role!
