 Martin, I have problems trying your patch to 3.1.3:

 Building sage/rings/polynomial/polynomial_gf2x.cpp because it depends on
 sage/rings/polynomial/polynomial_gf2x.pyx.
 python2.5 `which cython` --embed-positions --incref-local-binop
 -I/usr/local/sage-3.1.3/sage/devel/sage-main -o
 sage/rings/polynomial/polynomial_gf2x.cpp

 Error converting Pyrex file to C:
