I like the idea of this patch. However, it claims to "Make javascript
packages spkgs" -- but in addition to that, it touches a huge amount of
non-package javascript, adds a new editor, etc. It introduces a number of
bugs which have proven very difficult to even attempt to fix. Please
factor out the new code and move it to different tickets.
