But 4095 is the number of digits I get, at least in my tests on both OSX
and Linux. Isn't 2047 something arbitrary you just made up? I chose 4095
because I literally pasted a bigger number in, and exactly 4095 digits get
read, then all else is ignored.
And isn't 4095 = 2^12 - 1, since it seems like a reasonable magic number
:-)
