I don't want to annoy Jeroen yet again, but I really think we are done
with this ticket. If on an old system (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS will reach its EOL
in the coming April) under some very unusual circumstances it doesn't
quite work as expected, it should not hold the ticket up.
