 I am a bit puzzled: I thought that I had posted a comment roughly as
 follows, but it seems to have vanished.

 It would take some time to get a fix into a stable Singular release, and
 it would take even more time until the next stable Singular release is in
 Sage.

 Hence: Could you create diff files for your fixes in the Singular source
 code (I am not talking about the malloc thing but about the bug fixes), so
 that one can put them into the `patches/` directory of the Singular spkg?
