Comment:

 Going with `argparse` is probably a good idea, but I would still like a
 special "pre-parser" in `bash` to handle to options
 {{{
 sage --sh
 sage -i
 sage -f
 }}}
 (or whatever version they will become)

 I think these must be available from the start, before Python has been
 built.
