1) That comment is 3 years old and I imagine it's up for discussion by
now.
2) Replace `sage --gp` with `sage-sh -c gp` and all is well; I doubt
William, among others, are talking about the exact command `sage --gp`, as
long as there is a good way to start up Sage's gp quickly without loading
Python.
