 I'm aware of that, I was just reporting the results of a straight test.
 The problem on Cygwin is that the maximal virtual memomy available is
 limited to something quite low by default, I'd say about 512MB.
 In particular it prevents the PARI stack to grow above (a little less
 than) this limit, even if you have 1 billion GB of RAM available.
 The solution is to modify this limit by hand for the python.exe file using
 the peflags executable, see some comments on #9176.
