 Well, that was a long time to do anything. I have just build 5.7.beta3 +
 numpy-1.7. Apart from the expected stuff from numpy we have the same
 doctest files failing. But the number has gone down for two of them:

 sage -t -long devel/sage-main/sage/libs/libecm.pyx # 7 doctests failed
 [was 10]
 sage -t -long devel/sage-main/sage/numerical/optimize.py # 2 doctests
 failed [was 6]
 }}}
 Now that we have a killer debugging system in place things may get
 interesting.
