itself on Cygwin (64bits Windows 7), mostly when issuing make with
MAKE="make -j4" so the system must have been busy as well, but IIRC (less
sure) it also happened when building zn_poly alone.

Just as a data point, I can confirm this, even with `make -j2`, on Cygwin
Win 7.
