I think it would be great for this ticket to come back to life! Is it
possible to just take the current power series classes append _old to all
the class names and have the multivariable power series inherit from
those?
(Since no one has posted a ticket for creating multivariable Laurent
series, let me ask here what is wrong with making them a multivariable
power series ring with a univariate Laurent series ring in the
background?)
