> The standard Fedora install contains `ncurses` and `ncurses-libs` rpms,
which install `libncurses.so.5` but no `libncurses.so`. Only the `ncurses-
devel` package, which is not installed by default, brings `libncurses.so`.
Which is pretty correct. No system should have `foo.so` (nor `foo.a`!)
unless `foo.h` (i.e., the related headers) are also present.
