On taurus, I have two copies of Sage: one vanilla 5.9.beta4, and one with
the patches from here and (now) from #14426 applied: I built the ecl spkg
from #14426, reinstalled maxima, ran `./sage -ba`
With the vanilla 5.9.beta4, `./sage -tp devel/sage/doc/en/constructions/`
passed doctests 10 times in a row.
On the patched 5.9.beta4, the same command had failures 5 of the 10 times.
I was seeing similar behavior before applying the patches from #14426.
