Two comments that might be useful:
- When I figured out the original formula, I used trial and error and a
bit of reading documentation. I found something that worked and didn't
look like it was using any illegal hacks, I was happy. The new formula
looks fine in that respect too, so if it works use it!
- The `.fasb` files were used by ADSF to avoid overwriting files produced
by ECL's native build routines. As far as I could see the format is the
same as the `.fas` files. I did the rename to ensure that {{{(require
`maxima)}}} would work without first doing {{{(require `asdf)}}} (which
was necessary for recognising what to do with `.fasb` files). Since ASDF
is getting more closely integrated into ECL, you may be able to modify or
avoid this renaming step.
