 Yes, especially if it is all work by one person (maybe integrating someone
 else's patch) one patch is best.

 I agree with Martin that this ticket and its patches is already large
 enough. Followup patches are the way to go. Just imagine someone reading
 this ticket from top to bottom - I don't think any additional work should
 be done here.

 In the end it is also important to make clear which patches to apply in
 which order and who gets credit for authorship.
