 You are right that the fuzz is disappears by applying #15164

 I get 4 doctest failures on ncsym.py.  They are minor, but I don't know
 why I see them and you don't (so it doesn't seem like a good idea to
 change them).  They are on lines 248, 438, 633, 737 and for instance one
 is

 Failed example:
