It seems that {{{gcc}}} is identical to {{{clang}}}, so that didn't make a
difference.

There is no {{{-m32}}} in the spkg. The problem is that {{{-m64}}} simply
doesn't work, so MPIR's `configure` falls back to `-m32`.
