Alright, done. Using reflection for the generic's `specialize_to` is the
best way to go, but I did manage to a 10x speedup by calling
`_from_dict()` instead of summing over the monomials (the "public" way
would be `sum_of_terms()` with `distinct=True` but this just redirects
after creating a dictionary).
