If you look at the Cython backtrace (2nd half of the crash log) then most
stack frames (24 .. 2796) have something to do with
`category_with_axiom.py`. E.g. search for `base_category_class`.
So it seems that this is not a garbage collection issue at all, it is
really this ticket recursing very deeply. Is the recursion really needed?
My guess is not since the depth has something to do with when the garbage
collection is running, so must be too many temporary objects. Everything
recursive can be written without recursion...
