PPS: I think I understand why the code is finishing at all. The "assert"
statement involves importing something. Hence, it may fail with an
`ImportError`. This is caught (`except (ImportError,AttributeError)`), in
which case the axiom under consideration is skipped.
In the worst case, this means that the ''correct'' axiom is skipped, so
that eventually ` TypeError("Could not retrieve base category class for
%s"%cls)` is raised.
