Ok, fine. Thats imho the right thing to do, keep the version in
configure.ac and then generate all other files that contain the version
form .in files at configure time.
I'd still prefer to not use the Sage version as the configure tarball
version since it'll be potentially confusing to test different configure
tarballs on the buildbot if it needs to be debugged.
