Groan, I suppose that going via complement to get dual free module is
probably slower when the Hecke matrices are very sparse, as they are here.
I generally worry first about getting a mathematically correct answer, and
only then about efficiency issues. Can't look at this right now, sorry --
I've already spent far too much time on Sage stuff in the last week or two
-- might get around to it sometime next week.
