 From my side, this is the last part of the proof-of-concept
 implementations, before assessing the benchmark tests and choosing an
 implementation for the elements of path semigroups...

 In `Path_v5`, I am using the GMP library directly, thus avoiding some
 overhead compared with `Path_v3`. The timings I get (with `Path=Path_v5`
 and `SizeManager.set_edge_number(27)`):
