Here's what you should see:

$ ls build/pkgs/dot2tex
SPKG.txt package-version.txt spkg-check
checksums.ini patches spkg-install
}}}
In particular, `package-version.txt` should contain `20120520`, so it
knows which file to use. (It's funny because your `spkg-install` looks
current. What happened to the rest of the files?)
Maybe try getting the branch again? I would do
{{{
$ git fetch trac u/vbraun/dot2tex
$ git checkout -b dot2tex-new FETCH_HEAD
}}}
to create and switch to a new branch `dot2tex-new`. If you do that, does
`build/pkgs/dot2tex` have the right contents?
