Also, if I may say: the name "additional_structure" is like *VERY* vague.
Perhaps this is the best you can do on the "mathematical side" of the
feature, but it may be possible to give it a more informative name
describing what exactly this parameter does, i.e. a more code-specific
description.
But of course I have absolutely no idea of what I am talking about.
