So, I'm trying to comment using the sage-dev script.

Here I disagree. If I have two lists A and B, then the statement "A
overlaps with B" makes immediate sense to me. The only open question is
whether "A overlaps with B" means that the overlap of the two lists is
supposed to be at the end of A or at the end of B.
