Not 100% sure. Especially since I am guessing you want to produce a
working sage for OS X 10.4. One thing to try. Instead of building with
just "make", try:
{{{
LDFLAGS="-Wl,-rpath=$path_to_sage_local_lib" make
}}}
if rpath is supported by ld that may work. Otherwise I may need to have
the full man page for ld on the machine in question to try to figure out
something.
