Mainly the fact that the difference between returning a toric lattice and
a free module is done very implicitly. In particular, there is no way to
force the returning of a free module (as opposed to a toric lattice).
Sage is supposed to have the philosophy that the ''type'' of the output
should only depend on the ''type'' of the input, not the ''values'' of the
input.
