Comment:
For the sine and cosine, you can use the formula at the end of
[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigonometric_functions#Relationship_to_exponential_function_and_complex_numbers]
which computes the real and imaginary part separately. Assuming that
sinh(0) = 0 exactly, this formula will not introduce a fake imaginary
part.
