I disagree that it "worked fine", showing a graph explicitly (immediately)
and via the displayhook resulted in two different behaviors. In particular
you couldn't output the displayhook format programmatically, for example
in @interact. Of course one could get text output but not in a uniform way
that would also work with other Sage objects.
