That's not a fair benchmark, since that's Python, not Cython. The real
benchmark is this:

sage: cython("from sage.structure.parent cimport Parent\ncdef class
B(Parent): pass")
sage: timeit("A()", number=10^4, repeat=20)
10000 loops, best of 20: 68.9 ns per loop
sage: timeit("B()", number=10^4, repeat=20)
10000 loops, best of 20: 14.5 µs per loop
