Here is a list of objects that IMHO should be plotted by default if the
object is simple enough and if the graphics can be displayed inline:
* braids and knots
* polygons, fans (2d only)
* audio files (sage.media.wav)
* time-series finance data
* posets
* quivers
* certain game configurations, knutson-tao, others?
In addition, wrapped graphics in some interfaces should be drawn
graphically by default, e.g. the gnuplot interface. Though I think its
premature to make a final decision, there are still some bits missing like
javascript interactive output. Also, we need a better framework for
supplementing plain text with graphics vs. only showing graphics. The rich
output should probably in general have a flag to show rich output in
addition to plain text vs. only show the rich output.
I've added a workaround for dynkin diagrams until we get to #18328. IMHO
this is enough for one ticket.
