I committed a version with new name for the function.
But still, I do not understand. The term ''planar lattice'' is used by D.
Kelly and I. Rival in Canadian Journal of Mathematics, june 1975. And it
uses the definition I suggested at start. Also
http://www.math.uh.edu/~hjm/1973_Lattice/p00512-p00518.pdf etc. uses this
definition.
