 * Which $MAKE do you want it to respect ? The system-wide MAKE if it is
 set ?
   The patchbot currently sets MAKE to its own value, with a number of
 parallel threads      that can be chosen in the config of the patchbot.

 * Do you think the problem with the very-long and memory consuming
 docbuild comes from the patchbot ?
