Helloooooo,
> Where is the right place for the automake-generated makefiles and
related stuff? Currently, this files are located in the tarball, but that
is misguided since they refer to sage_tdlib.*. Maybe in some directory in
spkg/tdlib along with sage_tdlib?
Well, the automake-generated makefiles are usually in the tarball `^^;`
We don't consider those to be sage-specific. Makefiles are very common in
the open-source world, as those things make sure that the code compiles on
any platform. So usually, the tarballs we get come with those things in
it, and spkg-install is some variation of 'configure && make && make
install'.
Somehow, your none of the files contained in your tarball (including the
makefiles) should mention this sage_tdlib file.
