Well, the "variant" adds something, but not in terms of the data
structure. I would say that a lazy list is some kind of wrapper of a data
structure, not a new data structure.

Not really. I wouldn't call a lazy list "a way of organizing data".
It you think it is, then essentially everything in Sage is a data
structure.
