 There is one thing I am not happy with. I think we should try to make the
 interval much smaller than 1 in
 {{{
 while x_interval.absolute_diameter() >= 1:
     bits *= 2
     x_interval = RealIntervalField(bits)(x)
 }}}
 before trying to simplify the expression. I guess that 2^-30^ would be
 much more reasonable and avoid many attempts of (costly) simplification.
 What do you think?
