Right, it's not required to run `spkg-src` in a Sage shell, it's just a
sensible thing to do. For example, you would want to do `cd
"$SAGE_ROOT/build/pkgs/meataxe" but that wouldn't work outside a Sage
shell.

!MeatAxe's test suite if `SAGE_CHECK` is set?
I think you already asked this: it's not a problem.
