OK, so a few months have passed and all the work we did for this has so
far not come to anything. Meanwhile I started using sort(..., key=lambda
a: a.list()) for my own use (with elements of number fields, where I am
happy that I will always use the same generating polynomial for each field
so this will be consistent).
Because of the above it has been less important for me to have Sage-wide
sorting of nf elements fixed, but of course it should be.
