This ticket is not talking about including a new package in Sage.

tested on Solaris. If Solaris is important, and the current version of
this package works on Solaris, a failure to work on Solaris would be a
reason for the changes not to be incorporated.
Again, there is no new package associated to this ticket. It just contains
a single patch to be applied to the Sage library. The package was merged
with #7287.
I maintain my position that requiring every single patch submitted to Sage
be tested on Solaris is unreasonable (unless this process is automated
somehow).
