Is there any good reason to use version 4.42, when the latest is 4.44?
Would it be more sensible if I created a completely fresh package, then
some others test that?
I feel it would be simpler to start this from scratch.
I'll be travelling later, and will not have access to any SPARC systems,
but I can get somewhere with this on my OpenSolaris laptop.
