 We might discover bugs in PARI itself as well, which hopefully would get
 fixed upstream (quickly in the svn, but probably not immediately in a
 [new] stable version). I though would prefer to base the new spkg on an
 "official", i.e. stable version, too.

 I think since it seems a whole release will be dedicated to updating PARI,
 there will be enough testing anyway. But of course we'll have to freeze
 our snapshot at some point, when the appointed Sage release date/cycle
 comes close(r).
