Those using SageTeX for plotting may find #7981 relevant.
Also I find the reference "Till Tantau has some good commentary on the use
of graphics in section 6 of the pgf manual" a bit confusing. I suggest
pointing the link at `http://www.ctan.org/tex-
archive/help/Catalogue/entries/pgf.html` and adding the name of the
section since now it is "7 Guidelines on Graphics."
