but I think not building the documentation is a cleaner solution.
It won't prompt you if it isn't installed... ;-) Other issues?
In general, I think if [La]TeX is installed, we should use it, at least
unless there's also some equivalent HMTL documentation or alike.
Or ship pre-built PDFs...
