Additional note: I don't mind merging a partially-fixed readline 6.1 (with
some issues remaining) if there is a clear improvement over the old
readline 6.0.p4 spkg. In that case, we should try to converge on a 6.1
spkg which can get positive_review and leave further changes to a
different ticket.
