Positive review.
Is there a good reason this can't be merged into 4.7 now? Then all the gcc
4.6.0 issues will be resolved. #11159 does mention that gcc 4.6.0 will not
build Sage and addresses an issue about GNU tar on Os X. But quite
honestly if this is merged, and #11159 is not, then the is just a minor
documentation error about GNU tar on OS X. I feel the gcc 4.6.0 issue is
far more important than a minor error in the documentation. Or another
ticket can be created to remove the comments about gcc 4.6.0 not building
Sage.
