Comment(by SimonKing):
The original implementation of a polynomial basering injection relies on a
method `_new_constant_poly`, which turns out to be rather slow in most
cases except the case of dense univariate polynomials -- they have a
custom version of `_new_constant_poly`, while the others rely on a generic
implementation.
So, instead of my former suggestion ("use `one._rmul_(x)` to coerce x into
P with `one = P.one_element()`), it may be better to provide the other
polynomial classes with a faster implementation of `_new_constant_poly`.
That's what I am trying now.
